If your AI agent, the software that works for you on your computer, writes in your name and you think "this doesn't sound like me", you're not alone.

Where you are now

Could the problem be how you explained your voice, and not the agent? "Direct, warm, short sentences" fits a thousand different people, so the agent fills the gaps with its own defaults.

So you rewrite it, and every text takes almost as long as writing it yourself.

And a better prompt, meaning more detailed instructions for the agent, is still a description. You cannot tell whether the agent followed it until you read the draft and rewrite it again.

Who is talking to you: Axel Jedlitschka

It all started with an income and expenses table I wanted to build for myself in Excel. I built a few versions of it, moved to Google Sheets, and from there it kept growing.

In a job booking sales meetings by phone, I started building systems and automations, processes that run on their own, for business owners. I built a business forecasting system, and it served the marketing and sales of the company I worked for very well. The same goes for a voice: a description of it fits a thousand people, and the numbers from your own messages fit only you.

What to ask for

  • Your length

Sentences as long as yours, measured apart for a short chat reply and a client email, not the length the agent is used to.

  • Your openers

Sentences that start with the words you start with, one of the strongest signs of a voice.

  • Your punctuation

An em dash, exclamation marks or emoji only if you really use them.

  • One person, not a crowd

A draft that talks to one person, the way you do, and not to a group.

  • Only once it passes

Getting a draft only after a check says it does not drift from you, instead of finding out yourself as you read.

There is a way

Instead of describing your voice to the agent, you take the messages you have already written, count how you actually write, and keep the result in one file, a document that sits on your computer. From then on, every draft is checked against that file, in four steps.

  1. Collect.Export a WhatsApp chat, and add posts you wrote or emails you sent if you like. Only your own lines are kept, and every line from the other side is dropped.
  2. Measure.Sentence length, openers, punctuation, formality, address, and the phrases you keep coming back to. That becomes your voice profile.
  3. Confirm. The agent shows you your voice card: your numbers in plain words. You say what is right, and which phrases you never want to see.
  4. Check.Every draft is written to the profile and checked, and the check tells you exactly where it drifts from you. You get it only when it comes back clean.

"Direct" might be "Free tomorrow?" for you and "I'd love to know whether you have any availability" for the agent. A description can't see that difference. A measurement can.

The way, in one kit

Voice kit · a kit by Axel Jedlitschka

Every draft from your agent is checked against how you actually write, before it reaches you.

  • Everything runs on your computer, and nothing is sent anywhere
  • The install shows what it will do, and asks before writing anything
  • At the end it runs a selftest, and if anything fails it puts the previous version back
  • A skill, an instructions file the agent loads when needed, that walks it through the whole flow
  • Three scripts, small programs: one keeps only your lines, one builds the profile, one checks a draft
  • A banned-phrase list you edit yourself, in English, Hebrew and Spanish
  • Templates for your voice card and a draft brief, in all three languages
  • A 15-item checklist, in a format agents read
  • Sample messages from three invented business owners, so you can try it all before using your own
  • An instructions block for any other agent: Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI

What you get

Promised

  • The full kit, free, as soon as you leave your details.
  • No part is held back for payment.
  • Your details are not sold, and are not passed to anyone except the infrastructure providers that run the site.
  • A question about the kit? Send a message on Instagram, to @theonlyaxelj.

Not promised

  • A result. The kit measures your voice and checks drafts, and the result depends on how you apply it and on your business. It is general knowledge, not personal advice.
  • That a draft that passes is a good text. The check measures form, and does not know whether the content is true. You still read it, and you have the final word.

Questions?

How do I get the kit?

Leave your details, and a thank-you page opens right away with a button to download the kit.

Is it really free?

Yes. No credit card, and no part is held back for payment.

I'm not a programmer. Can I install it?

The install is one command, bash install.sh, typed in the terminal, the window where you type instructions to your computer. It shows what it will do, and asks before writing anything.

I don't have 300 messages. Is it pointless?

No. The tool builds a profile from less and marks it as rough. Add emails you sent or posts you wrote, and rebuild when you have more.

Can't I just write my agent a good prompt?

You can, and it helps a little. But a prompt is still a description, and you cannot tell whether the agent followed it. Here you get numbers from your own messages, and a clear answer for every draft.

My messages are private. Where do they go?

Nowhere. Everything runs on your computer, and only the lines you wrote are kept, without a single line from the other side. Work from a private folder that is not part of any project.

Will I get spam or phone calls?

Your details are used to send you the kit and to follow up on it. Marketing messages are sent only if you ticked the consent box, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your details.

Where do I get help?

A question about the kit: send a message on Instagram, to @theonlyaxelj.
